Given the track-record of leaker WalkingCat as a reliable source, there is no doubt that we can expect some news about a deal in the near future. If you are unfamiliar with Movie Anywhere, it is a cloud-based streaming platform which used to show exclusive content from Disney. Last year, the US-specific service switched to accept content from other studios but is still owned by Disney. Many Windows 10 and Xbox users in the US may remember Movies Anywhere on their devices. While Microsoft is looking to bolster its third-party cloud streaming offerings, the company’s own cloud-streaming ambitions revolve around game streaming. In April we reported on Microsoft’s plans to launch an integrated Xbox cloud streaming platform. That service could be launched within 3 years.
